Me, You, Us

This story was born from an extraordinary visual idea by Alexa. Through her imagery and my tactile pieces, we wanted to explore freedom of movement beyond colour barriers—bringing together the human form, textiles, natural elements, and architecturally inspired, man-made fashion, allowing them to exist without limits or boundaries.

The fashion elements are given space to live with and without pretense, free from ego. Skin and fabric, organic and constructed forms, find balance and harmony—coexisting within a single image, a single narrative. The story unfolds gently and quietly, yet remains immensely powerful and evocative.

There is no power struggle here. No push and pull. No winner or loser. No less and no more. It is about freedom of expression—about existing side by side without boundaries.

It is Me. You. Us.

This story started swirling around my head in layouts more than anything. I saw beautiful shots laid out opposite their own opposites in the juxtaposing colour.

I thought the rocks would keep things tonal and differentiated.

I gave Lori a very simple brief-simply, black and white clothing. That was it. She got it right away, and that's why I love working with her.

A natural easy understanding underpins any good collaboration. I never feel like I have to drag anything out of her, it just happens pretty organically. We both agreed on

who we should cast, and this lent an extra depth to the shoot. We also both share quite a similar work ethic, which helps tremendously.

At the end of the day-we agree-and agree to having fun and keeping it light on set. Lori has a wicked sense of humour, which keeps everyone bouyant, and light.
