There’s beauty hidden in the most unexpected places. Often, we overlook the everyday objects around us—yet so many of them carry a quiet, striking visual artistry.

I’m drawn to simplicity: to objects both natural and man-made that, when placed together, create unexpectedly magical compositions.

Antique homewares, chipped soup bowls, feathers, quail eggs, stones, and leaves—all hold a kind of architectural poetry. Their textures seem almost tangible through the lens, and when reimagined outside of their original purpose, they take on new life and meaning.

Working with Avron on this project was a creative joy. With nothing but my mood board and a head full of ideas, we carved out a space to explore freely. Watching those visions come to life through the images was something truly special.

I like a minimalistic approach to the images I capture. For this shoot with Lori, I wanted the objects photographed to look clean, uncluttered, as organic as possible, and yet with a sense of the whimsical.

Lori provided the creative vision and art direction while I contributed my eye and technical expertise. We worked together seamlessly.

I understand that the beauty we find in ordinary objects is a question of personal perspective. For me, when it comes to photographing them, it's all about how light interacts with those objects, highlighting their aesthetic qualities, no matter what the object is.

For this "Out of the Ordinary" collaboration with Lori, I really liked the unconventional approach she brought to the styling. It made for quirky compositions, striking images and a fun shoot.
